Week 3
First, I get my pot-dimmer working. Here it is on a “low” setting:

Next, I started brainstorming ideas for some kind of creative implementation of a variable resistor. I chose to use a thermistor, because my hands are always really hot and I knew I could depend on them to evoke a strong response from the LED.

So, I was thinking about things that press up against one’s skin in order to evoke some chance, and I began thinking about mood rings. I decided I wanted to make my own “mood bracelet” (since I soon discovered that making a ring involved too many miniscule actions/movements that were giving me arthritis). To do this, I first extended the legs of the LED light, in order to mount it in the top of the bracelet, and then extended to legs of the thermistor in order to install it in the underside of the bracelet, where it would press up against the hottest part of my wrist.
