1. Open Flash and create a new document


  2. In layer 1 place your background (a mound of snow or an extracted image from demos_and_samples)


  3. Click on the Stage and then in the properties window change the background color



  4. Create a new layer and select the brush tool(B). Select a White fill. Click on the Stage. Select the Selection tool(V), click on the white dot and change the width and height in the properties window to 5 x 5.


  5. Select the white dot and select Modify>Convert to symbol. Make it a movie clip and name it snow


  6. Double-click on the symbol to edit it


  7. CTRL+click(right+click) on the layer and select Add Motion Guide


  8. With the pencil tool draw several lines:



  9. Click on frame 48 and insert a frame (F5)


  10. Double-click on the white ball and convert to symbol. Make it a graphic and name it ball


  11. Select the ball with the Selection tool and align it at the top of one line. Create a keyframe and create a motion tween. Select the ball in the keyframe and align it at the bottom of the line:




  12. Open Library (+L)


  13. Create a new layer under the Motion Guide and drag a ball onto that layer-repeat the above step for each ball and line


  14. Return to scene 1


  15. Create a new layer and Type your message with the Type tool


  16. Place the text above the Stage


  17. While Type is selected convert to symbol. Make it a movie clip


  18. Double-click on symbol


  19. Once inside this symbol press Modify>Break Apart


  20. Select Modify>Timeline>Distribute Layers(+SHIFT+D) to distribute each letter onto a separate layer


  21. Select each letter and Convert to symbol (graphic or movie clip is okay-you don't need to name each of them)


  22. In frame 1 mixup the layers a bit and place all above the Stage



  23. Create keyframes for each letter, move them:



  24. Create another set of keyframes to expand and blend:


  25. Add sound


  26. Save and publish
